How we collect, use and protect your personal information.

Gree Airtech (Pvt) Ltd (“Gree Airtech”, “we”, “us”) is the authorised distributor of Gree and iCongo air conditioners in Sri Lanka. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use www.mygree.lk, place an order, book a service or contact us, and how we look after it. We handle personal data in line with Sri Lanka’s Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022.

1. Information we collect

  • When you order: your name, mobile number, email address (optional), installation address, city and district, preferred installation date, notes for our technicians, and the products you order.
  • When you pay online: payments are processed by PayHere. We receive confirmation of the payment (amount, reference and payment method type) but we never see or store your full card details.
  • When you book a service or contact us: your name, mobile number, district, preferred date and the details you send us, including messages on WhatsApp, phone or email.
  • When you browse the site: basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, collected by our hosting and security providers to keep the site running and safe.

2. How we use your information

  • To process and deliver your order, schedule and carry out installation, and contact you about it.
  • To take payment, issue invoices and keep accounting and tax records.
  • To register and honour your warranty and free services, and to provide after-sales support.
  • To answer your questions and service bookings.
  • To protect the website and our customers from fraud and spam.
  • With your consent only, to send you offers and news. You can opt out at any time.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Who we share it with

  • Our installation and service teams, including authorised Gree Airtech technicians, so they can install and service your unit.
  • PayHere, to process online payments securely.
  • Service providers that run the website: Cloudflare (hosting, security checks and anonymous visit statistics), Google (fonts and the store map) and unpkg (website icons). They process only what is needed to provide their service.
  • Gree Electric Appliances, where needed for warranty claims on your unit.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it.

4. Cookies and similar storage

The site stores a few items in your own browser: your cart, the models you choose to compare, and a copy of our product list so pages load quickly. These stay on your device and are not used to track you. The security check on our forms (Cloudflare Turnstile) may use similar technology to tell people from automated programs. We do not use advertising cookies.

5. How long we keep it

We keep order, invoice and warranty records for as long as your warranty lasts and as long as Sri Lankan tax and company law requires. Service enquiries that do not lead to an order are kept for 2 years.

6. How we protect it

Your information is stored in our business systems with restricted, password-protected staff access, and the website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Online payments are handled entirely on PayHere’s secure pages.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it where we are not required to keep it by law. You can also withdraw consent to marketing at any time. Contact us using the details below.
